Quanex is looking for a Screw Machine Operator in Brampton, ON. This position is responsible for running screw machines based on blueprints. It includes inspecting parts for accuracy, maintaining equipment, recording production data, while following all safety and quality standards under the direction of the production supervisor.
Rotating Schedule: Week 1: Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:00pm; Friday 6:30am-3:00pmWeek 2: Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:00pm

What Success Looks Like:
- Set up and operate one or more multi spindle or single spindle screw machines.
- Operate surface grinders.
- Monitor settings and outputs, installation of tools, taps, collets, bushings and stock pushers.
- Periodically inspect parts coming off the screw machines with blueprint specifications
- Maintain proper lubrication and clean machine as time permits.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Notify supervisor of major operating problems.
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
What You Bring:
- High School or equivalent education, required.
- At least 1 years of experience operating multi spindle or single spindle screw machines and surface grinders.
- Ability to read prints and measuring instruments.
- Must be able to read shop orders, blueprints and interpret engineering drawings, and all associated documents.
- Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality.
Salary Range: Starts at $18.50/hr with an increase to $20.50/hr after completion of 3 months of employment with satisfactory performance.
