Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation for our passengers, ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills, both in English and Spanish, to cater to a diverse clientele. A strong understanding of senior care is preferred, as you will often be transporting elderly passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers, offering assistance and information as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
  • Educate passengers on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Manage schedules and routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
  • Address any passenger concerns or issues with professionalism and care.
  • Exhibit mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting of the vehicle when necessary.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in senior care or familiarity with the needs of elderly passengers is a plus.
  • Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records regarding passenger counts, incidents, or vehicle maintenance.
  • Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor towards all passengers.
  • Must pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations at all times.

Pay: $21.54 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
