<p><h3>Essential Functions / Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Responsible for safety orientation for employees and contractors.</li><li>Maintain awareness of amendments to the Manitoba Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and make recommendations for their implementation.</li><li>Ensures timely completion of accident / injury reporting.</li><li>Responsible for all aspects of Workers Compensation claims including related administrative forms etc coordinating all return to work modified duties.</li></ul><h3>Champion Disability Management (WCB, STD / LTD, RTW)</h3><ul><li>Coordinate training for :</li><li>Forklift, Genie and Scissor certification and recertification</li><li>Emergency Response Team (ERT) certification and recertification</li><li>Fall Protection certification and recertification</li><li>Propane tank filling certification and recertification</li><li>Transportation Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification and recertification</li><li>Arc Flash Training</li><li>Lock out, Tag out, Try out Training</li><li>Confined Space Training</li><li>Annual - coordinating with service provider, scheduling employees, follow up with supervisors, receiving & reviewing documentation for :</li><li>Audiometric testing</li><li>Asbestos inspection</li><li>Crane Operator Medical and Visual</li><li>Inspector Visual</li><li>Air Quality</li><li>Coordinate and attend Monthly Crew Safety Meetings</li><li>Reporting</li></ul><h3>Daily Attendance report</h3><ul><li>Weekly Attendance report</li><li>Weekly & Monthly report to HR Manager</li><li>Monthly report to Corporate Office</li><li>Participate on Joint H&S Committee as co-chair. Set agenda, chair, take minutes, submit minutes, monthly inspection, and maintain inspection list.</li><li>Manage progress on Abatement</li><li>Meet weekly with Production and Processing Superintendents</li><li>Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.</li></ul></p>
