Canadian Coin & Currency serves a national customer base from our primary showroom located
in Richmond Hill, Ontario. As Canadas largest collector coin retailer, the company operates
both in-store and online at cdncoin.com. Canadian Coin & Currency is also an authorized
distributor of collector coins for the Royal Canadian Mint. With a team of about 10 employees,
every role is valued, contributing to a strong and collaborative team environment.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a polished, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to represent our brand in a high-end retail environment specializing in collectible coins, rare currency, and precious metals including silver and gold. This role blends retail sales, visual merchandising, and close collaboration with our e-commerce operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience across both in-store and online channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized, consultative sales experiences for clients purchasing collectible coins, currency, and precious metals
- Build trust with customers by explaining product history, value, rarity, and market trends
- Maintain visually compelling merchandise displays that reflect a luxury retail standard
- Accurately process sales transactions and handle high-value inventory with care and discretion
- Communicate regularly with the e-commerce team regarding product availability, promotions, and customer inquiries
- Assist with inventory management, product transfers, and stock reconciliation between retail and online channels
- Support in-store events, product launches, and client outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably with luxury goods, collectibles, jewellery, or financial products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, polished demeanor
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS and inventory systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends

Hours:
This is a full-time position. Approximately 40 hours / week, including weekend availability.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of retail customer service experience
- Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service
- Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays, based on department and store/company needs
