Finning Canada is seeking the best Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to become a Resident Technician in the Quesnel area. Our Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry and mining equipment throughout the region in a field environment. Job Description:
Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs (possibility of remote locations)
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Various related duties as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience:
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
Valid class 5 drivers license with a clear drivers abstract
Dedication to safety
Self motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are required
Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
Power generation experience would be considered an asset
Important Notes:
This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
Shift work may be required in the future
A recent driver's abstract is required
