Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research. Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.

Position Overview:

These positions involve working approximately 5 hours a week during the academic year culminating in a conference to be held in Winnipeg from May during which time the hours may be extended.

  • Promotion
  • Social Media
  • Flyers
  • Publicity
  • Creating Book display

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts in progress
  • Knowledge of Social Media and website design
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with CANVA and Squarespace
  • Ease with Instagram, Facebook, X, and Bluesky

Condition(s) of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

The period of work will be from December 8, May 17, 2026 and the estimated total hours of work will be 5-80 hours.

Note: This position is represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada - Research Capacity Unit.
