About The Role
As an Underground Scoop Operator at Dumas, you will operate scoop trams to load, haul, remote mucking, and dump ore and waste material safely and efficiently in an underground mining environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in challenging conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate scoop tram (LHD) to transport ore and waste from headings to designated dump points.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, including loading and dumping zones.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate haulage.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

Qualifications

  • Ontario Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core.
  • Previous experience operating underground scoop trams or similar heavy equipment.
  • Strong safety record and ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
