<p>Bre-Ex Construction Inc. - a premier heavy civil contractor in Southwestern Ontario is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our hard working team.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate will have the desire, work ethic and experience to manage high profile infrastructure renewal, water & sewer, road reconstruction, environmental reclamation and land development projects.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Interpret documentation, specifications and design drawings to define scope/contents of projects</li><li>Review project scope and provide value engineering prior to and during construction</li><li>Prepare full and accurate take-offs of all sub-trades for projects</li><li>Review and analyze bid packages from subcontractors</li><li>Accountable for analyzing subcontractor bids for scope, pricing and clarifications for projects</li><li>Prepare schedules for budgeting and project completion</li><li>Work with multiple internal partners in the day to day oversight of projects</li><li>Accountable for effectively representing the company in relations with clients, regulatory agencies, site personnel and new construction markets</li><li>Communicate and consult with engineers, architects, owners and subcontractors, and prepare changes and adjustments to cost estimates/progress payments</li><li>Create project execution plan and clearly present the plan to operations staff prior to and during construction</li><li>Maintain detailed knowledge of prime contract, provincial and municipal specifications</li><li>Manage a small team to administrate all facets of the project execution plan</li><li>Lead goal orientated project team meetings</li><li>Create and track CO’s, RFI’s, SI’s and shop drawing submittals</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Working in an office environment with computers and drawings</li><li>Traveling as required for site visits, working in field locations</li><li>Working in a high-paced environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years project managing experience (or relevant industry experience)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and MS Projects</li><li>Time Management and Organization Skills (pre-planning, multi-tasking, documentation)</li><li>Effective at problem solving and decision making</li><li>Positive and professional attitude</li><li>A self-motivated personality that can be successful independently and in a team</li></ul><p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
