Overview

We are seeking a motivated mid-level geologist to join our growing consulting team.

Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience (RMG) is a dynamic exploration and mining consulting firm specializing in integrating geoscientific datasets for targeting.

Located in Sudbury and Toronto with associates across Canada, the US, Europe and Africa, RMG covers a diverse cross section of geologists, geophysicists, field staff, GIS specialists and community relations experts.

Job Description

• As a project geologist, your general responsibilities will include field work, such as mapping, sampling, overseeing drilling programs and core logging, reporting and data interpretation. The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, enthusiastic and open to challenges. She/he will be willing to learn quickly as an important aspect of working for RMG is the individual growth of your consulting skills within the geological context. The successful applicant will adhere to RMG's health & safety and environmental practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in geology

• 4 years of relevant work experience

• Professional geologist or eligible to obtain professional registration in Canada

• Ability and willingness to travel and work in remote locations

• Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary project teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High level of attention to details

• Ability to complete assignments on a timely basis

• Valid driver's license

• Knowledge of GIS is an asset

• First-Aid certification will be an asset

Must be eligible to work in Canada at the time of application

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and internationally, therefore some travel will be required.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 70 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sudbury, ON
