<p><p><b>Position Title:</b> Program Director: Widjiitiwin</p><p><b>Employment Type:</b> Salaried, Year-Round, Full-Time</p><p><b>Location:</b> Huntsville, Ontario, Canada</p><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>In this role, the individual will develop and implement a compelling youth camping experience impacting the spiritual formation and relief of poverty for campers attending Camp Widjiitiwin in the summer months and participating in the Widjiitiwin program year-round. The Program Director: Widjiitiwin is responsible for the overall administration of the program, including program development, fundraising, staff recruitment and training and program implementation.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p><b>Develop and implement a safe, Christ-centred Widjiitiwin program that reflects both summer camp and year-round opportunities.</b></p><ul><li>Develop a daily summer camp program that provides for an excellent experience by participants</li><li>Maintain a Camp Safety Plan (emergency procedures, etc.) for summer and year-round programming.</li><li>Make recommendations to MBC leadership for program and facility improvements to enhance program delivery during Widjiitiwin program delivery</li><li>Develop connections and opportunities for the MBC community in various parts of the Widjiitiwin program.</li></ul><p><b>Develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and future Widjiitiwin partners.</b></p><ul><li>Develop (with other MBC staff) plans for the shoulder seasons (Victoria Day – Thanksgiving) that maximizes the use of Widjiitiwin facilities.</li><li>Maintain a presence in the Widjiitiwin partner communities throughout the year, including the potential opportunity for programming in said communities.</li></ul><p><b>Prepare the next generation of Widjiitiwin leadership and provide opportunities for leadership development for partner groups.</b></p><ul><li>Manage conflict and discipline within the Widjiitiwin staff community.</li><li>Implement a SALT and LITE program that creates a staff pipeline of high-quality candidates.</li><li>Research, teach and model relevant skills and knowledge to staff.</li></ul><p><b>Create awareness and raise funds for theministry of the Widjiitiwin program</b>.</p><ul><li>Communicate the vision of the renewed Widjiitiwin program to donors, stakeholders, the MBC community and other funders (grants, foundations, etc.)</li><li>Effectively budget and implement yearly fundraising events that allow for meaningful connection between MBC, partner groups and potential donors.</li></ul><p><b>Support the year-round team and plans of Muskoka Bible Centre, the Widjiitiwin Program and partner groups.</b></p><ul><li>Serve as a member of the Ministry Team – providing input and participation in the greater vision of growing resilient, biblically rooted families across the MBC ministry program experiences</li><li>Develop the annual budget for all related expenses by November 1 for the following year’s budget.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Working with Youth and Camp Ministry</li><li>Management/Leadership training</li><li>Experience with building and supporting a donor base</li><li>Experience working with marginalized groups is an asset</li><li>Bible college/seminary training is considered an asset</li><li>Mental Health/Counseling training is considered an asset</li><li>Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to serving others.</li><li>A servant attitude and team-oriented approach.</li><li>Agreement to and alignment with the Muskoka Bible Centre Code of Conduct.</li><li>Adherence to the MBC Statement of Faith & Doctrine</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Staff discounts, meals and uniforms as per our Staff Handbook</li></ul><p><em>*For full Job Description, please email <b>hr@muskokabible.com</b></em></p></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
