Our client is a fast-growing Canadian company at the forefront of energy storage and battery innovation. Based in Scarborough, ON, they design and manufacture advanced battery systems that power the future of clean transportation. They are looking for a driven and hands-on Production Floor Team Lead / Supervisor to join their team and grow with them.

Role: Production Floor Team Lead / Supervisor

Location: Scarborough, ON (with travel to the U.S.)

Base pay: $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Travel: 100% in-office role with travel to the U.S. approximately once every 6–8 weeks (1 week at a time) during the first year

The Opportunity

This is an exciting leadership role for someone with experience in manufacturing, quality control, and team management. You will oversee a talented group of electrical technicians and assemblers—9 in Canada and 4 in the U.S.—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the production of EV battery systems. With the company’s rapid growth, this role offers significant opportunities for career advancement.

This role is 100% in office with travel to the U.S. once every 6–8 weeks (1 week at a time) during the first year to support operations and team development.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise production floor teams (Canada & U.S.), providing day-to-day direction and coaching.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards in EV battery assembly and testing.
• Establish and implement workflow processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency across teams.
• Manage production schedules, resources, and priorities to meet customer and project deadlines.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support professional development.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
• Travel periodically to the U.S. facility to align teams, support projects, and oversee production activities.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision, team leadership, or production management (preferably in electronics, automotive, or energy storage).
• Strong knowledge of quality control, workflow process design, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Background in electrical assembly or battery systems is a strong asset.
• Six Sigma and/or Project Management (PMP, CAPM, etc.) certification is an asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams across borders and adapt to a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
• Willingness to travel to the U.S. regularly during the first year.
