About the role
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production operations, leading a team of supervisors, carpenters, fabricators and trades, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Production Supervisor, Welding Supervisor, fabricators, and carpenters.
  • Oversee inventory control, project scheduling, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery of all projects.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and championing safety initiatives.
  • Set goals, coach, and manage the performance of the production team.
  • Utilize MS Projects and other productivity tools to schedule projects and determine lead times.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to assess estimate accuracy, constructability, and quality.
  • Communicate project updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain inventory levels, investigate discrepancies, and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported accurately.
  • Analyze inventory output to identify and predict demand trends.
  • Identify and order project-specific components.
  • Review project drawings and assemblies for accuracy and constructability.
  • Collaborate with estimators to provide fabrication insights and improve estimate accuracy.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform other related duties as required.



Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of construction experience, with proven expertise in managing dynamic teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scheduling software and production planning.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Industry expertise, with equivalent knowledge or experience in construction.
  • Growth mindset and tech-savviness, with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
