We're proud to partner with Pluvo on this search.</p><h3>The Opportunity</h3><p>Pluvo is seeking a Product Designer who is excited to grow their craft and be the foundational design hire shaping the product experience as the company scales. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hand-in-hand with engineers and product leadership, build design systems from the ground up, and influence product strategy at a funded startup.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design end-to-end user experiences for new features and improvements to existing workflows</li><li>Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance user needs with technical feasibility</li><li>Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions</li><li>Design solutions that improve product reliability and user confidence (loading states, error handling, performance feedback)</li></ul><h3>Design Systems & Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Help build and maintain a design system that enables consistent, scalable design across the product</li><li>Create component libraries and design patterns in collaboration with frontend engineers</li><li>Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure designs are implemented with precision and perform well</li><li>Balance design ideals with engineering realities - finding creative solutions within technical constraints</li></ul><h3>Cross-Functional Partnership</h3><ul><li>Partner with Product to shape feature requirements and contribute to product strategy</li><li>Collaborate daily with engineering to ensure designs are technically feasible and performant</li><li>Participate in sprint planning and design reviews</li><li>Advocate for users while respecting technical and business constraints</li></ul><h3>Growth & Development</h3><ul><li>Learn and grow your design skills with guidance from leadership</li><li>Contribute to establishing design best practices and processes</li><li>Take on increasing responsibility as you develop your skills</li><li>Help shape our design culture as we grow the team</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>3-5 years of product design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or fintech</li><li>Strong portfolio demonstrating product design work and your design process</li><li>Proficiency in Figma (our design tool of choice)</li><li>Understanding of design systems and component-based design</li><li>Basic understanding of frontend development and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers</li><li>Strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, and UX principles</li><li>Ability to design for technical constraints and work within feasibility boundaries</li><li>Experience conducting user research or usability testing</li><li>Good communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions</li><li>Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently</li><li>Experience working in agile development environments</li></ul><h3>Nice to Haves</h3><ul><li>Experience with financial tools or FP&A or ERP platforms</li><li>Understanding of data visualization and dashboard design</li><li>Familiarity with HTML / CSS</li><li>Experience with frontend development (React or Next.js)</li><li>Background working at a startup</li><li>Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices</li><li>Experience with design QA and implementation details</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Impact : Be the foundational design hire - shape the design culture and product experience from the ground up</li><li>Growth Opportunity : Opportunity to grow into a senior design role and eventually lead the design function</li><li>Meaningful Work : Design complex financial workflows used by finance professionals daily</li><li>Collaboration : Work closely with talented engineering and product teams that value great design</li></ul></p>
