At Atlantica, a member of The Cahill Group of companies, we execute commercial and industrial construction projects and services in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. We’re looking for our next Procurement Lead to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a purchasing/procurement role, ideally within the construction industry

  • You are an excellent communicator and a team player

  • You have strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • You’re self-motivated and able to adapt to shifting priorities as needed

  • You have a high attention to detail and are analytical

  • You can build and maintain professional relationships with your coworkers, clients, and vendors


Having a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or other similar programs would also be considered an asset.


What will you do as the Procurement Lead at Atlantica?


Working In An Exciting And Collaborative Environment, You Will



  • Communicate directly with operational team members about their purchasing needs, ensuring response is provided to procurement requests in a timely manner

  • Drive cost savings by securing the best supplier deals

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key vendors

  • Champion fair contracts through skilled negotiation

  • Proactively manage price changes and source alternatives
  • Ensure smooth deliveries by resolving order issues and non-compliance

  • Complete and issue purchase orders to vendors

  • Manage open purchase orders and maintain purchase order integrity in line with ERP system

  • Coordinate drawings and documentation between vendor and Project Managers for equipment purchases

  • Generate, maintain, and publish monthly reports as required for commodity tracking, cost savings opportunities, material price volatility, supplier scorecards etc.
