Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Supply Engineer (or Power Supply Design Engineer?) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading the design development for a low floor LTR system, they will be at the forefront of delivering power supply engineering solutions for traction projects such as metro, tramway, or mainline systems.

 

They will specifically take care of electrical design works for the project (high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage and DC traction systems) but also contribute to technical advancements and support cross-functional initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of basic and detailed engineering activities for High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage power supply and DC Traction systems.
  • Support the electrical schemes, layouts, technical, functional, and interface specifications; conduct clause-by-clause design reviews and gap analysis.
  • Support the calculation notes load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, power balance, power factor study, insulation coordination, arc flash, UPS and battery sizing, grounding, protection coordination, etc.
  • Prepare as-built documentation and modifications as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of the main electrical systems standards (CSA, IEEE, EN, etc.), for design and testing.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD; basic knowledge of BIM, Revit, and Navisworks preferred
  • Fluent in English
