Plant Manager
The Plant Manager oversees daily operations of a manufacturing production facility to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role is responsible for managing staff, optimizing production processes, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Based in the Vancouver area on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise plant operations, production, maintenance, and quality teams
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage budgets, inventory, and resource allocation
- Coordinate maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Recruit, train, and develop plant personnel
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing or industrial operations, with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality systems
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
