<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b><i>Part-Time Program and Event Support</i></b></p><br />Reporting to the Manager of Recreation Programs and Special Events, or designate, the Part Time Program and Event Support will help with the implementation of Town lead programs and events.<br><br>Some of the job responsibilities of the position include:<ul><li><ul><li>Provide instruction to children and provide feedback to participants</li><li>Ensures that equipment and supplies are set up, operational, and properly stored after use</li><li>Provides administrative support for programs and events</li><li>Support or lead programs such as birthday parties, movie nights, sports nights, or arts and crafts nights</li><li>Assist with special events including the Migration Festival, Fantasy of Lights, and Communities in Bloom</li><li>Ensure compliance with Town and legislated policies and procedures</li><li>Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service</li><li>Suggest improvements to programs based on feedback and observations</li><li>Apply High Five principles in the planning and delivery of programs</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul></li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li><ul><li>Must be 16 years of age or older</li><li>Must be available to work weekends, weeknights, holidays, and PA days.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.</li><li>Creative and flexible approach to programming and problem-solving.</li><li>Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain.</li><li>Completion of High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, or willingness to obtain. </li><li>Must know how to skate.</li></ul></li></ul><br /><b>Working Conditions</b><ul><li>Work is typically performed in both office and outdoor environments, with the potential exposure to adverse weather conditions. </li><li>The typical schedule will average 10 hours per week, primarily on weekends, after school, PA days, or holidays.</li></ul><strong>Hourly Rate of Pay:</strong><br />$18.00 per hour, first year<br />$20.00 per hour, second year<br><br>This is a seasonal, part-time position that is currently vacant.<br><br>We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment process.
