Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed Industrial Mechanic to join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise to ensure the optimal operation of our production equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical proficiency and problem-solving skills are highly valued. Candidates should have experience with programmable logic controllers, CMMS systems, and industrial electrician practices. Fluency in English and excellent analysis skills are essential for success in this position.

Afternoon and Night shift available

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, boilers, welding tools, and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Install, modify, and calibrate machinery and control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential failures or safety hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations related to industrial maintenance activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service by collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends or recurring issues requiring attention.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments.
  • Food Manufacturing an asset.
  • 403A License required.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring (including low voltage), schematics reading, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS platforms.
  • Background in conveyors, boilers, welding, or related trades is preferred.
  • Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals accurately.
  • Excellent analysis skills coupled with problem-solving abilities under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial maintenance practices. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our manufacturing operations, offering a challenging environment for skilled professionals committed to excellence in industrial maintenance.
