MHSW Depot Technician, Processing Facilities

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to the residents of York Region that visit the depot
Have good communication skills to deal with York Regional employees, and the public
Have read and understand all training documents on-site
Receive MHSW from residents
Identify, sort, and pack MHSW into the appropriate containers
Maintain clean grounds and facility
Follow Supervisor's instructions
Wear all of the required PPE at all times
Work in a safe manner at all times
Maintain and report any equipment that needs repair
Comply with all rules and regulations to do with operating the depot

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time
Excellent communication skills
Planning and organizational skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Able to work independently and in a team environment
