Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing organization committed to excellence and safety, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Milton, ON
Pay Range: $22 - $24 per hour based on experince
Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday
Afternoon shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm Monday to Friday
What's the Job?
- Work from written or verbal instructions, system-generated picking documents, and established routines.
- Verify part numbers against packing slips and ensure correct quantities.
- Receive incoming parts, relocate them, and allocate to proper locations while filing receiving paperwork.
- Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights, and affixing postage and paperwork.
- Pick, pack, move, put away, wrap, and load skids of various sizes and weights, ensuring accuracy and safety.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and Order Picker forklifts in narrow aisle settings.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
