Indy Eleven internships are available for course credit only. Interns are provided a paid monthly parking stipend but are otherwise unpaid. Positions are less than 30 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit. Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship.
This position is ideal for students looking to gain experience in the sport marketing and management fields. This role will work in coordination with Indy Eleven’s Marketing and Communications Departments to assist with general marketing and advertising initiatives, including game day promotion execution, representation at community events, and more. This position reports directly to the Coordinator, Game Activations & Marketing.
Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with creation, organization, & distribution of marketing materials.
- Aid in email, database, and social media marketing growth.
- Attend marketing and/or other community events as a representative of Indy Eleven
- Support market research endeavors, including survey creation and analysis.
- Assist with stadium setup/tear down and all marketing related game-day operations.
- Support game-day marketing efforts by assisting with promotions, representing the team at a Fan Experience tent, or providing support in other scheduled events.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to withhold confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Experience in Microsoft Office preferred, especially Word, Excel, and Teams
- Knowledge and abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud preferred, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
