<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Maintenance Technician – On-Call Contract </strong></p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking experienced maintenance technicians for on-call, full-time contract assignments in the Toronto area. Assignments will be provided in advance, with durations ranging from 3 weeks to 3 months</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Downtown Toronto (Leslie and Eglinton)<br /><strong>Rate:</strong> $22.00 – $24.00/hour<br /><strong>Schedule</strong>: Day Shifts Only<br /><strong>Type: </strong>Full-Time, Contract (3 weeks to 3 months) </p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Conduct daily inspections and record equipment readings.</p></li><li><p>Start up and shut down machinery as directed.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and repair <span >mechanical/electrical</span> systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and life safety systems.</p></li><li><p>Perform preventative maintenance such as filter replacements, belt inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs.</p></li><li><p>Address plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical issues.</p></li><li><p>Complete general building maintenance, including minor painting and mechanical room upkeep.</p></li><li><p>Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and assist contractors as required.</p></li><li><p>Maintain clean and safe work areas.</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Proven experience in facility or building maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</p></li><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p></li><li><p>Additional certifications (e.g., HVAC, Building Maintenance, CMRP) are considered an asset.</p></li><li><p>Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).</p></li></ul><p><p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Shifts: Day only</p></li><li><p>Location: Downtown Toronto</p></li><li><p>Status: Full-Time contracts (no part-time)</p></li><li><p>Start Dates: Provided in advance</p></li></ul><p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p><p>Please submit a current resume detailing your relevant maintenance experience.
