About the Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a defined contract supporting an established manufacturing operation through its final phase of production. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, automation exposure, and seeing a facility through to completion.


If you’re between long-term roles, prefer contract work, or want solid experience maintaining complex equipment in a structured environment, this role offers meaningful work, clear expectations and a clean end date.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Support and diagnose PLC-controlled equipment, servo drives, automation, and PC-based controls
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Assist with equipment support, automation processes, and controlled shutdown planning
  • Troubleshoot and modify CNC equipment as required
  • Ensure all safety systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and standards are strictly followed
  • Maintain organized work areas in line with 5S principles
  • Communicate clearly with production and technical leadership on equipment status

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial robotics (Fanuc an asset)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
  • Own basic tools

Assets (Not Required)

  • Beckhoff PLC experience
  • CNC lathe experience
  • Robot operation or programming (Fanuc, ABB, Panasonic)
  • Industrial networking knowledge (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT)
  • Experience with mills, lathes, and grinders
