Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal cook will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. This is a full time position of 40 hurs per week
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is a must.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices within the food industry is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.
