<b>Responsibilities:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Provide temporary legal support across various areas of law, covering for assigned legal assistants.<br>
<br>• Proactively manage files for assigned professionals.<br>
<br>• Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, and events.<br>
<br>• Edit, format, and revise a variety of legal documents (contracts, pleadings, correspondence, etc.).<br>
<br>• Prepare electronic procedure books, closing binders, and other legal documentation.<br>
<br>• Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.<br>
<br>• Proofread and correct documents to maintain quality standards.<br>
<br>• Support fellow float assistants during slower periods.<br>
<br>• Perform other legal-related tasks as required.<br>
<br>
<b>What you will need to succeed:<br></b>
<br>
<br>• Diploma in legal secretarial studies, secretarial studies, or any recognized equivalent training.<br>
<br>• 3 years of experience in legal administrative support.<br>
<br>• Practical experience in litigation and across various areas of law.<br>
<br>• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support professionals and clients in both languages.<br>
<br>• Excellent grammar skills and strong attention to detail in written communication.<br>
<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word (intermediate to advanced level), Outlook, and Excel.<br>
<br>• Adaptability, curiosity, and an open mind.<br>
<br>• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, and precision.<br>
<br>• Professionalism, team spirit, and client-oriented mindset.<br>
