We're looking for a Lead Shop Technician (Frac Shop) with a HET Journeyperson Certification to join our Red Deer Service / Frac Shop team. This position requires strong troubleshooting and repair experience on frac pumps and engines, the ability to coordinate and lead daily shop priorities, and a commitment to safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced shop environment.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

• Leading by example and setting the standard for workmanship, professionalism, and customer service
• Coordinating daily work assignments, supporting morning meetings, and monitoring job progress to meet timelines and productivity targets
• Performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on frac pumps, engines, and related oilfield equipment
• Training, coaching, and signing off work quality for apprentices and junior technicians
• Supporting quoting, invoicing, job management, and time sheet approvals as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Journeyperson Certification – Heavy Equipment Technician preferred (Millwright or Automotive considered)
• 3+ years of oil & gas experience with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain frac pumps, engines, and related equipment
• Proficiency with engine diagnostic software and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor others
• Leadership experience in a shop environment (training, coordination, sign-offs, or crew mentorship)
• Experience supporting job planning, quoting, and customer follow up
