Blumara is a naval architecture & marine engineering firm working on real vessels, from concepts to practical delivery. We're hiring junior engineers who enjoy hands-on problem-solving, clear communication, and collaborative teams.


What you'll do

  • Contribute to engineering design and analysis tasks under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Create and refine 2D/3D models and drawings using common CAD tools.
  • Run basic calculations (e.g., geometry, loads, performance approximations) and document assumptions.
  • Prepare clear technical notes, drawings, and presentation materials.
  • Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and help improve standards/templates.
  • Work cross-functionally with teammates to plan work, manage revisions, and meet deadlines.
  • Practice good version control, organization, and attention to detail.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience (can include co-op/internship experience).
  • Familiarity with modern CAD/3D modeling and basic engineering analysis methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; organized, curious, and collaborative.
  • Eligible for Canadian government security clearance.
