Location: Head Office Woodbridge, ON
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Wage: $48,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
As a Junior Data Extraction Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in MCA's data collection initiatives. This position involves creating, maintaining, and optimizing web scraping programs, as well as analyzing, cleaning, and organizing the data.
- Translate client needs into actionable technical tasks.
- Effectively communicate technical issues to clients and vendors.
- Proactively identify data errors and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with vendors to refine data collection processes.
- Analyze large datasets to spot trends, gaps, and errors.
- Clean and organize data for accurate and clear reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain high-quality outputs.
- Manage schedules to meet all client deadlines.
- Develop and maintain basic Python scripts for data extraction and processing.
- Review HTML and CSS structures to identify data points.
- Monitor and adjust programs for website changes.
- Propose creative, industry-informed solutions to new processes or client changes.
- A diploma, degree, or relevant experience in Computer Science or Data Analytics is preferred.
- Has 12 years of experience in web scraping, data collection, or a similar technical role.
- Possesses basic knowledge of Python, HTML, and CSS.
- Has strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Possesses excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of tasks.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and vendors.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying and solving problems independently.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Progresses towards an intermediate-level web scraping skill set within 1218 months.
