<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong><strong>Inventory Control Supervisor</strong></strong></p><p><strong>Woodbridge, ON</strong><br /><strong>Manufacturing</strong><br /><strong>Competitive salary $75,000–$90,000 + bonus + benefits</strong></p><p>Our client, a long-standing manufacturer supporting a range of industrial and commercial markets, is seeking an <strong>Inventory Control Supervisor</strong> to oversee daily inventory accuracy, material flow, and stock management across its production operations. This role sits at the core of operational reliability—ensuring the right materials are on hand, properly tracked, and efficiently replenished to keep production running without interruption. The ideal candidate brings sharp analytical instincts, strong ERP proficiency, and the leadership presence to guide a small team toward high accuracy and continuous improvement.</p><p><strong><strong>The Role:</strong></strong></p><ul><li><p>Supervise all inventory control activities, including receiving, material movement, cycle counts, reconciliation, and stocking processes.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate inventory levels using ERP/MRP tools—ensuring real-time data integrity, traceability, and compliance with internal controls.</p></li><li><p>Lead the cycle count and physical inventory programs, identifying variances and driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate closely with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, and Quality to align material availability with production needs.</p></li><li><p>Monitor incoming materials for accuracy and quality, working with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.</p></li><li><p>Implement and refine inventory control best practices such as Kanban, FIFO, min/max levels, or other replenishment methodologies.</p></li><li><p>Train, coach, and supervise a small <span >inventory/warehouse</span> team, fostering engagement, accountability, and strong communication.</p></li><li><p>Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing stockouts, improving material flow, and enhancing overall warehouse efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Prepare inventory reports, KPIs, and variance analyses to support operational decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with safety standards, housekeeping expectations, and internal procedures.</p></li></ul><p><strong><strong>The Ideal Candidate:</strong></strong></p><ul><li><p>Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is an asset.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse supervision, or materials coordination in a manufacturing environment.</p></li><li><p>1+ years of leadership, supervisory, or lead-hand experience overseeing inventory or warehouse teams.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, data accuracy, and variance investigation.</p></li><li><p>Solid knowledge of inventory methodologies (cycle counting, Kanban, FIFO, replenishment systems).</p></li><li><p>Experience with Lean or continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with production, purchasing, and quality teams.</p></li><li><p>Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented manufacturing environment.</p></li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
