This role will play a key part in implementing automation solutions, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities of the role:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, program, test, and deploy automated systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.</li><li>Contribute to electrical design activities such as component selection, panel layout, and schematic preparation.</li><li>Participate in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new automated equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis on automation and control systems.</li><li>Develop and maintain documentation, including system designs, operation manuals, SOPs, and technical reports.</li><li>Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance staff.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance and monitor system performance to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualification:</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.</li><li>5+ years of experience in automation or industrial controls (internship or co-op experience considered an asset).</li><li>Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).</li><li>Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.</li><li>Hands-on experience with pneumatics, motors, and control hardware.</li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>We care for our employees:</strong></p><ul><li>Convenient public transit (bus stop right outside the facility)</li><li>On-site free parking</li><li>On-site gym</li><li>Employee Health Benefits</li><li>Corporate Discount Program</li><li>Employer match for Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) / Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) Program</li></ul><p></p><p>Please note: Qualified candidates are invited to apply through this posting.
