Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the Apollo 11 lunar module.

Main responsibilities

The intern will participate in the data analysis process of the maintenance management system (Interal), contribute to its deployment in a new department, and work on the continuous improvement of the system. The intern will also assist electromechanical and electrical technicians with their equipment maintenance tasks, identify existing risks, and work with the plant's joint committee to identify potential solutions and management strategies. The intern will also be responsible for preparing equipment installation projects as a project manager. As part of these projects, the intern will work closely with maintenance staff, HR/Health and Safety partners, and the purchasing, technical, and production teams.

Examples of projects and tasks:

  • Analyzing equipment data and producing recommendations.
  • Assessing material requirements and coordinating procurement.
  • Selecting new PPE in collaboration with workers as part of the electrical safety program.
  • Site planning and management.
  • Contributing to improving the execution of preventive maintenance.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Have completed at least two years of the above-mentioned undergraduate program or be in the process of doing so.
