HR Services Specialist
Job Description
Some of what you will do:
The position is primarily responsible for the coordination of daily incoming inquiries, events and work activities for HR Services within the company, including communicating and monitoring workloads and coordinating resources to address needs. The incumbent will perform HR Services Case Management problem resolution, research and refer system problems to HR Systems team (global or local), as well as participate in the execution of HR Services related projects and provide administrative support. This position works closely with the HR Systems group on technology issues, including new system initiatives, system enhancements and support.
Specifically, You Will:
- Acts as the first point of contact and provides first line support for incoming inquiries from management and associates on HR related policies, practices, programs and systems for the various business units within the company
- Provides the daily coordination of HR Services and administrative support. Disseminates timely and accurate information to the HR partners in compensation, payroll, benefits and HRIS for a timely resolution.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily/weekly workload in collaboration with national and regional stakeholders to ensure all processing activities and deadlines are met. Prioritizes own work as appropriate
- Responsible for the development and documentation of work procedures for HR Services. Makes recommendations and adapts work processes ensure they are consistent with and uphold the legislative requirements in the regions/provinces.
- Work with other departments in the implementing and rolling out of new HR Services programs/procedures or programs that impact HR Services
- With the roll out of new projects, ensures that they partner with the appropriate project leads to ensure an understanding of new processes and then communicates this to the impacted SBU.
- Executes HR related changes in Peoplesoft including but not limited to corrections, new hires, assistance with acquisitions, or data entry for market changes. Conducts audits as necessary to ensure the accuracy of data within the PS system.
Some of what you need:
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources/Payroll policies and procedures and Provincial laws. In depth knowledge of all HR/Payroll and Benefit operations and systems as well as those peripheral systems with which HR systems interface (e.g. PeopleSoft, LMS, Talent track, Kronos).
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
- Experience providing customer service (e.g. handling difficult customers) with proven ability to be sensitive to each customer and apply strict confidentiality. Strong communication skills; verbal, written and listening
- Proven flexibility to handle workload changes as they occur, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting or exceeding established deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven ability to interact with all levels, both within and outside of organization.
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite, with intermediate MS Excel skills to analyze, organize data and create reports.

Office environment – Hybrid, 4 days a week in the Richmond Hill office, Monday to Thursday
