<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Brightshores Health System operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region serving a population of over 170000. The Owen Sound hospital is a Level 2 regional referral centre with a Level 3 ICU offering a full range of specialty services through the Departments of Anesthesia Diagnostic Imaging Obstetrics / Gynecology Oncology Hospitalist Medicine Internal Medicine Pathology Paediatrics Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT General Surgery Ophthalmology Orthopaedics Urology).</p><p>Thriving rural hospitals are also located in Lion's Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton servicing a range of ambulatory in-patient and emergency needs.</p><h3>Practice Opportunity</h3><p>The Department of Hospital Medicine is looking to expand its complement of Full-time & Part-time permanent Hospitalists. Locum opportunities are also an option. Our physicians provide coverage to both our Hospitalist and Rehabilitation Units at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound site.</p><h3>Service Delivery</h3><p>Four (4) Acute Hospitalists cover acute medical admissions / discharges, daily care and on-call service on a weekly rotation. Two (2) Hospitalists are scheduled each weekend with rotating on-call dates. Hospitalists care for 14 to 18 patients each and are scheduled 1 weeknight on-call per weekly schedule.</p><h3>Requirements</h3><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>Interested candidates will hold CFPC or RCPSC designation and an independent license to practice in Ontario.</p><h3>Benefits</h3><p><b>Compensation Model</b></p><p>Blended model including weekday stipends and after-hours / weekend fee for service billings plus on-call stipends. We have a tiered remuneration model that increases depending on the number of annual service weeks provided.</p><p>Interim locum Hospitalist weeks also available as part of the recruitment process.
