Permanent Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Evening No of vacancies:02 Work Location: 12011 Mitchell Rd, Richmond, BC V6V 1M7, Canada (WORK MAY VARY ON DIFFERENT SITES.) Wage Rate: $44.00 per hour, (37.50 hours per week). Overtime will be paid after 40 hours Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Education: High School Experience:1- 2 years of relevant experience. Languages: Basic English is required. Job Duties: Repairing, diagnosing faults and maintenance of the heavy machineries such as bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy construction equipment using hand and power tools Checking bulldozers, cranes, excavators, trucks and other heavy construction equipment, for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper performance when used. Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Finding information, Continuous learning. Working setting: The candidate should be available to work outdoors full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required.
