Nuna's core values of: <strong>Safety - Integrity - Teamwork - Respect for Cultural Diversity and for Community & Environment</strong>; reflect our reputation as a safe, cost-effective, and innovative operator in the north.<br><br><strong>We offer:</strong></p><ul><li>3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotations; 12-hour days</li><li>Competitive hourly rates with Overtime Pay (1.5x),</li><li>Fly in and fly out.</li><li>Travel and accommodation provided.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Pre-access requirements may include:</strong></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Medical clearances</li><li>A&D Testing</li><li>Criminal Record Check</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervises crews and coordinates the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining projects.</li><li>Lead and support a team of heavy-duty mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and uptime of heavy mobile equipment critical to mine operations.</li><li>Works within the contract presented to the client.</li><li>Mentor apprentices and support employee development and training.</li><li>Conducts weekly safety meetings and provides a safe work environment.</li><li>Daily documentation and correspondence between client and company on performance of crew and equipment as described in the applicable contract.</li><li>Ensure QAQC forms and red-line drawing packages are being completed properly and submitted in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure work orders are being filled out properly with quality information.</li><li>Must follow standard safety operating procedures.</li><li>The ability to work with OEM representatives.</li><li>Coordinate with operations, planning, and parts departments to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production needs.</li><li>Prioritize and schedule repairs in collaboration with operations and site supervisors.</li><li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and mine site policies.</li><li>Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and job hazard assessments.</li></ul><p><ul><li>Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.</li></ul></p><ul><li>Demonstrate commitment to the continued improvement of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.</li><li>Keep maintenance reports and documentation Incorporate HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades).</li></ul><br><br><p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p></p><ul><li>Post Secondary in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.</li><li>Minimum 2 plus years in supervisory or lead role and previous experience working on larger industrial heavy equipment used in the mining and earthworks industry; (Earthworks, Civil construction, and Mining); </li><li>Strong computer skills. MS Suite and proficiency in maintenance diagnostic software programs.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills in hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and undercarriage components.</li><li>Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and interpret diagnostic codes.</li><li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License.</li><li>Eligible to work and reside in Canada.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong><br /> Interested applicants are asked to apply online at www.nunagroup.com or by email hr@nunagroup.com.<br /> Nuna is committed to the principle of employment equity.
