<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Guard!<p></p><p>Kingston, ON | $17.95–$22.61/hour | Full-Time</p><p></p><strong>About the Role</strong><p>Paladin Security is seeking dedicated <strong>Healthcare Security Guards</strong> to join our <strong>Float Pool Team</strong> supporting Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) and Providence Care Hospital (PCH). This role is essential to ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining a professional and visible security presence.</p><p>As part of our Float Pool, you will work across multiple sites, adapting to diverse environments and supporting various healthcare security needs.</p><p></p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li> Maintain a professional, visible security presence </li><li> Greet, assist, and direct patients, staff, and visitors </li><li> Protect clients, staff, facilities, and assets </li><li> Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies </li><li> Document and report incidents, investigate when required </li><li> Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws </li><li> Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement </li><li> Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><strong>Requirements (Must-Have Criteria)</strong><ul><li> Valid Ontario Security Guard License </li><li> Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved provider) </li><li> Ability to be <strong>clean shaven</strong> to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test </li><li> Proof of <strong>COVID-19 vaccination</strong> (minimum double dose) </li><li> Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2) </li><li> Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding) </li><li> Minimum <strong>6-month commitment</strong> to full-time availability </li><li> English proficiency (oral & written) </li><li> Legally authorized to work in Canada </li></ul><p></p><strong>Preferred (Nice to Have)</strong><ul><li> 6+ months healthcare security experience </li><li> 6+ months non-healthcare security experience </li><li> Bilingual in English & French </li><li> 6+ months customer service experience </li><li> Certification in <em>Stay Safe</em> (or ability to complete Paladin’s program prior to onboarding) </li></ul><p></p><p><em>Note: Paladin covers all costs of the Stay Safe certification with a 6-month employment commitment.</em></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Health, Dental & Vision Coverage </li><li>Overtime Pay </li><li>On-the-Job Training </li><li>Growth Opportunities</li></ul><p></p><strong>Why Join Paladin?</strong><p>At Paladin Security, diversity, inclusion, and respect are at the heart of our culture.
