Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Welland, Ontario (hybrid work model)

Salary: CA$125,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Stock options may be available for the right candidate.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you’ll lead the company’s financial strategy and operations, reporting directly to the executive team. You’ll oversee financial planning, reporting, and systems development while acting as a key partner in growth initiatives. This is both a strategic and operational leadership role, ideal for someone eager to build a lasting impact as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in alignment with corporate strategy.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive business growth and long-term planning.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools to support scalability.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, compliance, and month-end close processes in line with Canadian GAAP.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and risk while providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.
• Build, develop, and mentor a lean finance team to support both operational and strategic priorities.
• Provide leadership on pricing, margin analysis, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and external financial partners.

What We’re Looking For

• CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning and systems implementation.
• Experience in high-growth, scaling, or mid-sized companies; manufacturing background is an asset.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work model based in Welland, Ontario.
