ERTH (Holdings) Inc., a subsidiary of ERTH Corporation is currently welcoming applicants to the position of General Labour. This position is responsible for performing general labour duties within the field services of operation in street lighting, traffic signal installations, solar and construction. This position will be based from our operations facility in Thorndale.
Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the installation of underground conduits and duct for primary, secondary and street light installations
- Assist installing traffic/street light bases, poles, cables in conduits and traffic sensing loops
- Complete hand excavations and assist in trenching (i.e. locating utilities and spreading sand)
- Assist in pole grounding and crimping
- Assist in placing precast or cast in place structures
- Perform receipt of weigh tickets and/or receipts (i.e. concrete or sand)
- Assist in the installation of pull boxes in subdivision installations
- Assist in placing transformer bases, bell cable, and cable conductors
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Valid Class G Drivers' License
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
- Must be able to work outdoors in various working conditions
- Proven reliability and history of following safety policies and legislative requirements
- Have flexibility and the ability to manage themselves in a team driven environment
