<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Full Stack Engineer | Veriday Inc – 6-month contract (hybrid, Toronto). The candidate will work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to build, maintain, and optimize full stack applications. A strong focus on technical expertise, team collaboration, and automation is essential.</p><p>This is a contractual hybrid role for a period of 6 months, with the potential for extension. The candidate must work from the Toronto office 3 days per week.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using <b>Node.js (Angular)</b> for frontend and <b>Python (API)</b> for backend services.</li><li>Work with <b>MS SQL</b> for database development, optimization, and integration.</li><li>Create and maintain <b>automated unit tests</b> and <b>automated security testing</b> pipelines to ensure high-quality, secure code.</li><li>Use <b>GitHub Actions</b> to support seamless <b>CI/CD workflows</b>.</li><li>Manage <b>Git branching strategies</b>, submit <b>pull requests</b>, and actively participate in <b>peer reviews</b>.</li><li>Contribute to agile ceremonies and maintain work tracking using <b>Jira</b>.</li><li>Engage in <b>pair programming</b> to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, contributing to a positive and productive team culture.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills & Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in full stack development with <b>Node.js (Angular)</b> and <b>Python APIs</b>.</li><li>Proficiency in working with <b>MS SQL</b> databases.</li><li>Hands-on experience in writing and maintaining <b>automated unit and security tests</b>.</li><li>Solid understanding and practical use of <b>GitHub Actions</b> for CI/CD automation.</li><li>Familiarity with <b>Git branching</b>, <b>pull requests</b>, and <b>peer code reviews</b>.</li><li>Experience working in <b>Jira-based Agile environments</b>.</li><li>Comfortable and experienced in <b>pair programming</b> settings.</li><li>Strong <b>interpersonal and communication skills</b>—must be a team player with a collaborative mindset.</li></ul><p>We offer a competitive salary, casual workspace, and great people to collaborate with.
