The Amazon Advertising (Ads) Sales FP&A team is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the FP&A team to enhance and streamline foundational aspects of our reporting to drive consistency and analytics across our global sales team. This includes holistic ownership of productivity analysis, country level P&Ls, Benchmarking and cost of service analytics.
This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Finance, Sales, Analytics, and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with exposure to senior leadership. This role is currently an “individual contributor” position.
Key job responsibilities

Produce VP level deliverables to enhance decision making in resource allocation

Partner with the Analytics team to both centralize and automate our reporting to drive insights around key metrics (e.g. Revenue, OPEX, Productivity, Inputs, Retention) for the Global Advertising Sales team

Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning

Establish cost of service analytics and validation

Help establish revenue and cost flash reporting

Ad hoc business support

The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and have highly respected business acumen. This role partners directly with cross-functional leadership and multiple Advertising Finance teams, and requires strong communication and technical skills.

Basic Qualifications
-
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
-
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Preferred Qualifications
-
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
-
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
-
MBA, or CPA
-
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
-
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
