About the role

  • The Strategic Finance Analyst plays a key role in enhancing organizational financial performance through comprehensive analysis and strategic initiatives. They are responsible for evaluating financial data, processes, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization. By applying advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques, the Analyst provides valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiencies. Collaborating closely with diverse teams across the organization, they lead initiatives to transform financial operations, streamline processes, and align financial strategies with overarching business goals. Through innovation and continuous improvement, the Strategic Finance Analyst supports the organization in navigating market dynamics, fostering sustainable growth, and achieving heightened profitability.
  • This is a hybrid position where we expect you to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

What you’ll do


Project Management

  1. Financial Project Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and financial goals.
  2. Budget Oversight: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational financial objectives.
  3. Resource Allocation: Coordinate with departments to allocate financial and operational resources effectively for projects.
  4. Timeline Management: Track and ensure financial projects are completed on time and within budget, flagging potential risks early.
  5. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present updates on financial projects to leadership and other stakeholders.

Financial Analysis


  1. Performance Analysis: Analyze financial data to assess project performance and identify trends or discrepancies.
  2. Forecasting: Create financial forecasts to support decision-making and evaluate potential project impacts.
  3. Variance Analysis: Monitor actual project costs vs. budgets and provide variance analyses with actionable insights.
  4. ROI Assessments: Calculate and evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for financial initiatives and projects.
  5. KPI Development: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to financial projects.

Collaboration and Reporting

  1. Data Visualization: Use financial modeling and visualization tools to provide clear insights to project stakeholders.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams such as operations, IT, and sales to integrate financial analysis into broader projects.

Reporting: Develop regular financial reports and dashboards for project updates, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field – degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investment banking, or management consulting, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis, with advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business results and influence decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision, while also able to see the big picture and think strategically.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial drivers, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing junior sales team members.
