In business for almost 70 years, we are acknowledged by our metals industry customers to be a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of innovative, high quality and industrial instrumentation.</p><p>KELK VPG has facilities, operations spread around the globe, and there is one consistent thread that ties everything together and ensures our continued success : Our People.</p><p>We are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team!</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p>Under the general supervision of the Field Customer Service Manager, this position is responsible for the technical support for KELK products by providing installation and commissioning services, prepare pre-shipping factory acceptance testing, adhere to annual service schedules, and provide product training to customers.</p><ul><li>Insure the readiness for commissioning through the use of the SPS, site progress summary and weekly customer contact.</li><li>Responsible for installation supervision for on-site activities for cold commissioning, hot commissioning, performance tests, customer training, weekly site reports, and commissioning sign off on required documents.</li><li>Follow up on action items after commissioning, update system configuration files, host in house commissioning review meeting, provide customer feedback.</li><li>Support the Project Coordinator in carrying out pre-shipping activities such as system test, factory acceptance testing, customer training.</li><li>Testing new Software releases</li><li>Updating drawings, part lists, manuals, training material</li><li>Design Maintenance activities, creating Engineering Change Notices, ECN</li><li>Participate in assignments related to new product development</li><li>Providing support to the project team as required</li><li>Provide technical support to Sales team on product applications</li><li>Provide technical support to the Production department</li><li>Validating new product versions</li></ul><p><b>Region :</b> North America</p><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive benefits package</li><li>Extended health and life insurance</li><li>Extended vision and dental</li><li>Company matching RRSP.</li><li>Paid vacation</li><li>Good team environment and great company culture</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>All PPE provided by company.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or post-secondary education (diploma) in a technology field with appropriate experience required.</li><li>PEng., E.I.T. or similar designation desired</li><li>2-5 years of experience with control, automation and electromechanical products and systems in an industrial, automotive, or aerospace environment, preferred, but other markets will be considered.</li><li>Mechanical and Electrical aptitude, necessary</li><li>Experience and knowledgeable on electrical, mechanical, computer and networking tools, such as digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other test / measuring equipment.</li><li>Read and understand technical documentation such as electrical schematics, mechanical outlines, network interconnect diagrams, etc.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD and / or SolidWorks</li><li>Experience with PLCs and Automation systems (use and design)</li><li>Sound awareness and experience of industrial safety procedures</li><li>Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong sense of professionalism and diplomacy with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers</li><li>Demonstrated strength in time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi- task / prioritize and be adaptable in a fast-paced work environment</li><li>High degree of attention to detail and accuracy</li></ul></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
