Excavator Operators are essential in driving production on site and in the trench. They are expected to have demonstrated competency to a supervisor, or designated mentor, in all Core Responsibilities of an Excavator Operator. It is an expectation they adhere to the policies outlined in Halls HSE and are an active participant in site organization and safety.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to Halls safety program & guidelines
  • Daily pre-inspection/ basic maintenanceof equipment
  • Working with our foundation drilling equipment
  • Hoisting, offloading andinstalling rebar cages
  • Safe organization of onsite material placement
  • On sitemanagement ofdrilling spoils, water and concrete.


You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

Qualifications:


  • Pass a pre access alcohol and drug testing
  • Must have15-ton class excavatorand larger operating experience
  • Loading Trucks
  • Trimming experience
  • Experience in detail footing and mechanical excavation
  • Ripping experience in sandstone an asset
  • Comfortable operating in a highly congested area
  • Experience working aroundground personal, congestion, utilities and other support equipment
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of elevation and grades
  • Able to travel to BC and Saskatchewan, as required.


Technical Skills:


  • Must know how to operate a pressure washer.
  • You have knowledge on safe work procedures.
  • You can clearly identify varioustypes of hazards on site.
  • You understand hand signalsfor spotting concrete truck, Crane singles.


Interpersonal Skills:


  • Great attitude towards safety.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Results-oriented.
