Our mission is to transform the built environment by delivering high-performance, sustainable, and aesthetically advanced exterior systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Estimator</strong> to join our team and provide critical technical expertise in estimating, bidding, and building science for large-scale cladding and façade projects. This role will oversee estimation processes, mentor junior team members, and serve as a technical resource to ensure accurate project costing, compliance, and profitability.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for cladding and building envelope projects.</li><li>Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope.</li><li>Oversee material takeoffs, labour, and equipment costing using tools such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift.</li><li>Mentor and train junior estimators to ensure accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Prepare competitive, accurate bid packages compliant with client and industry standards.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments, pricing strategies, and market research to secure contracts.</li><li>Maintain historical cost data to improve future accuracy.</li><li>Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure alignment between estimates and production capabilities.</li><li>Evaluate building envelope systems for performance, compliance, and sustainability.</li><li>Ensure estimates reflect compliance with building codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED).</li><li>Provide recommendations on cost-effective design and installation methods.</li><li>Streamline estimation workflows for efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Implement KPIs and feedback loops to measure and improve performance.</li><li>Enhance coordination between estimation, engineering, and production teams.</li><li>Support sales teams during client meetings with technical expertise.</li><li>Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.</li><li>Work with marketing to create technical resources, case studies, and bid materials.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (advanced certifications in Estimation or Project Management considered an asset).</li><li>7+ years of experience in building envelope, cladding, or façade systems.</li><li>Proven track record in estimation, cost modeling, and tendering for construction projects.</li><li>Experience with solar integration in façades is an asset.</li><li>Proficiency in estimation software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and project management tools.</li><li>Strong knowledge of building codes and building science principles.</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to train and mentor teams.</li></ul><p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
