<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>Enterprise Architect</b> role at <b>Patch Tech Staffing</b>.</p><p><b>Location:</b> Markham, Ontario</p><p><b>Work Type:</b> Contract (3 months)</p><p><b>Hybrid:</b> 4 days in office, 1 day remote</p><p>Our client is looking for a visionary <b>Enterprise Architect</b> to play a pivotal role in defining the target state architecture and shaping the strategic technology roadmap that will guide their organization into its next era. This is a high-impact contract role reporting directly to the <b>Director of Enterprise Architecture</b>.</p><p>As an Enterprise Architect, you will be at the forefront of aligning business strategy with technology innovation, driving architectural excellence across the enterprise portfolio. This position blends business, technology, leadership, and modeling skills to create alignment between disciplines. Acting as a facilitative leader, you will coach and guide business professionals and technologists, building architectural capacity across the organization.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Define the strategic technology roadmap aligning technology with enterprise needs</li><li>Capture current and transition state architectures through models and views</li><li>Contribute to analyzing industry technology trends valuable to the enterprise</li><li>Build strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders</li><li>Facilitate discussions to understand how current systems support business functions</li><li>Present cross-domain and intersystem solution options and recommendations</li><li>Mediate intersystem design decisions, including functional placement and integration</li><li>Facilitate cross-functional evaluation of technology products</li><li>Manage lifecycle definitions for technologies across the enterprise portfolio</li><li>Strong understanding of structural and methodological enterprise architecture frameworks</li><li>Exceptional knowledge of systems integration and API development</li><li>Expertise in enterprise architecture modeling and analysis practices</li><li>Strong awareness of industry technology trends and their organizational impact</li><li>Understanding changes in the commercial application landscape relevant to the organization</li><li>Proficiency in integration patterns and practices</li><li>Strong grasp of software development patterns and practices</li><li>Familiarity with cloud service offerings</li><li>Excellent team facilitation, influencing, leadership, and coaching/mentoring skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Exceptional logic and critical thinking skills</li><li>Strong self-management</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>8+ years of relevant <b>enterprise architecture</b> experience</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent relevant experience</li><li>Experience leading the definition of <b>target state architecture</b> and <b>technology roadmaps</b></li><li>Experience <b>creating and maintaining architectural views and models</b> for enterprise portfolios</li><li>Professional qualities: respectful and collaborative, solutions-oriented, reliable and accountable, clear communicator, and committed to continuous learning and high standards</li></ul></p>
