We are seeking an Engineering Sales Representative to join our Dartmouth team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and contractors to drive product specifications and ensure ODell solutions are incorporated into project designs.


What You'll be Doing

  • Drive product specifications and influence design decisions with engineering firms to secure ODell solutions in project designs and Basis of Design (BOD) documents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and vendors to support new and ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teamsincluding Sales, Estimating, and Project Managementto provide input on bids, product selection, and pricing.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and expanding relationships within the mechanical contracting community.
  • Deliver product presentations and training sessions for engineers and clients, highlighting ODell product advantages and new technologies.
  • Provide technical support and assist with troubleshooting mechanical equipment in coordination with the Technical Support Team.
  • Participate in manufacturer training and industry events to stay current on HVAC technologies and market trends.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education (Degree or Diploma) in Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a engineering sales-based role within HVAC market.
  • Strong ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of Nova Scotia Building Code Regulations and relevant ASHRAE Standards.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); CRM/ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite) is an asset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently within a defined territory.
  • Valid G drivers license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
