Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of experience in railcar, truck, pipeline, or marine liquid product handling
- Experience handling and testing liquid fuels as well as completion of a trade ticket preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and preferred experience with: Citect or Toptech
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Key Accountabilities:
- Show your dedication and support the terminal operation to improve our safety culture and overall safety performance on our Journey to Zero path
- Hook up and offload railcars and accurately complete documentation as required
- Manage fuel material by receiving product into tanks via pipeline and marine vessels, transferring product from tank to tank, and draining and preparing equipment for maintenance
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment including tank roof inspections, boiler monitoring, and tank level verification
- Conduct sampling and testing as per the schedule or when required due to quality issues
- Monitor equipment conditions regularly and address any deviations in a timely manner
- Issue or authorize work permits in accordance with our standards
- Maintain and exchange a detailed account of the day's activities and actions taken to mitigate risks and to ensure optimal shift transitions
- Participate in emergency situations including fires and spills as required
- Maintain competencies by reading and understanding new procedures or relevant changes to the manuals and documentation, and ensure regulatory training and certifications are up to date
Location and other key details:
- You will work out of our Kamloops terminal office located at 2955 Tranquille Rd, Kamloops, British Columbia
- This is a part-time position, $45.05 / hour to start. Once qualified in the first area, the rate increases to $47.64 / hour once qualified in second area (approximately 12 months) move to $50.14 / hour
- This is a unionized position with Teamster 213
- This position is safety sensitive
- You will perform all essential physical aspects and responsibilities of the role with the mechanical aptitude to safely manage the operation of terminal equipment and maintenance in an all-weather outdoor environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- The 8 hour shift schedule includes weekends and other days as required by the business with occasional overtime call out
