Associate Director of Originations, CMHCToronto, ON - onsite
$140,000-$150,000 base plus uncapped commission
Our client is a Canadian private equity real estate firm seeking an Associate Director or Director of Originations to join their team in downtown Toronto, Ontario. This role will appeal to you if you possess a true sense of ownership, take great pride in the quality of your work, and are a problem solver at heart. This is an ideal opportunity for a professional ready to transition from back-office modeling to a high-impact, client-facing sales role.
Responsibilities
Originate hundreds of millions of CMHC loans annually in primary and secondary markets across Canada. Open to individuals who use broker networks or direct.
Assist the underwriting team with loan assessment, structuring, and closing due diligence.
Ensure all loans conform to company and CMHC's policies and procedures.
Maintain a detailed pipeline.
Attend various networking events inside and outside of normal working hours. This must be an exciting aspect of the job for you.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of related work experience - open to individuals coming from equity or debt sides.
Undergraduate degree in business or related field
Superior analytical and risk assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of real estate underwriting guidelines (ideally multi-family).
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
