As a Director of Care, you’ll be the driving force behind a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration, empowering a nursing team to deliver top-tier care while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. If you're ready to lead with purpose and help shape the future of senior care, we want to hear from you!</p><h3>What you will bring</h3><ul><li>Lead with purpose to build a vibrant, engaged workplace culture whose focus is safety and quality care.</li><li>Drive excellence by overseeing and ensuring nursing services meet the highest standards of care and compliance with legislation (Fixing Long-Term Care Act 2021).</li><li>Champion quality & safety by leading quality improvement initiatives, promoting evidence-based practices, and managing risk with a proactive approach.</li><li>Develop talent by recruiting, mentoring, and supporting the development of an empowered and high-performing nursing team.</li><li>Ensure a personalized, compassionate approach to care that supports the well-being and dignity of each resident.</li><li>Manage resources responsibly by overseeing the nursing budget, inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensuring financial efficiency while optimizing care delivery.</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing.</li><li>Licensing: must hold current registration in good standing with (Insert Provincial Body).</li><li>Must have 5+ years of leadership in healthcare, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory role in long-term care.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with RAI/MDS and Behaviour Supports Ontario (BSO) is a plus.</li><li>Current CPR certificate and willingness to maintain it for the duration of employment.</li><li>Tuberculosis testing (Two-Step Mantoux)</li><li>Proof of current flu immunization according to policy.</li><li>Provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) with a current (within the past 6 months) criminal background check.</li></ul><h3>Why Plan A?</h3><p>At Plan A, we’re more than just a workplace—we’re a community that celebrates each other’s contributions and invests in your growth.
