<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>JOB TITLE: </strong>Department Administrator<br /><strong>JOB STRUCTURE: </strong>Hybrid - In Office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), Remote 2 days per week (Friday, Monday)<br /><strong>JOB LOCATION: </strong>Markham, ON (Hwy 7 & Leslie St.)<strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY</strong></p><p>An exciting opportunity to be part of and support the Black & McDonald Corporate Procurement Services Team. The Department Administrator reports directly to the Director of Corporate Procurement. This role will assist with the overall administration of the department.</p><p>Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Create and maintain item numbers for Company Inventory</li><li>Build and maintain spreadsheets / databases for tracking procurement activities as required</li><li>Data entry, collection and interpretation from various sources </li><li>Update and revise necessary information on the Wire</li><li>Documentation control photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing</li><li>Facilitate Corporate Procurement Reports and Presentations</li><li>Support with supplier evaluation and selection</li><li>Initiate and track approval cycle </li><li>Other administrative duties include booking meetings and travel, taking minutes of meeting, and submitting expense claims </li><li>Promptly and professionally respond to all internal and external customers</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Communicates Effectively </li><li>Continuous Learning</li><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Holds Self and Others Accountable</li><li>Teamwork and Collaboration</li><li>Values and Respects Others</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>University degree will be an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>1-5 years' of office management/office administration experience</li><li>Procurement knowledge would be an asset</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS </strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Competent in the use of all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to meeting and/or exceeding customer's expectations</li><li>Highly motivated, efficient and focused</li><li>Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment</li><li>Comfortable with repetitive and high attention to detail tasks</li><li>A real team player with the desire and ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done with a Hand's on approach to tasks</li><li>Result orientated and confident</li></ul><p>Black & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
